An ever-changing performance of explosive energy, heart-pounding percussion, lilting music, and soaring spirits. Bringing the ancient Japanese art of taiko to the next generation with jazz and hip hop rhythm, theatrical staging, and humor.   You’ve seen TAIKOPROJECT on the Oscars, the Grammys, The Voice, the Mitsubishi Eclipse launch, and on the world stage. Now, we invite you to see TAIKOPROJECT on the first night of juried showcases, Thursday, Sept. 20th, at the Colony Theatre. Showcase features selections from two TAIKOPROJECT touring shows: Surrounding Suns and Continuum (small cast show).
